Fitness has always been apart of who I am. I’ve always been athletic. In grade school, I was a hip hop dancer and cheerleader. I played volleyball, ran track and dabbled a little in soccer. In highschool, I begin to technically train in dance and continued my experience as a competitive cheerleader. Needless to say, I never needed to “exercise” or “diet” outside of those activities. However, at about 155 lbs, my difficulty with my body image began in my senior in highschool. I noticed I got what I now would call “a little pudge” and started to exercise regularly.

In undergrad, I continued to perform on various

dance teams and took up a minor in dance. Despite this, I gained about 30 pounds after my freshman year. That is when my ” fitness binging” began. That summer I returned home and worked out almost every single day for an hour. By the time I returned to

Fall 2004- My sophomore year in college after dropping about 25 pounds in 2.5 months!

school,I had lost 25lbs. In typical fashion, I began to gain the weight back and then I found out I was pregnant. Even though, I worked out and danced throughout my entire pregnancy, I couldn’t resist the idea of eating whatever I wanted to. With school, work and a baby, my level of activity quickly decreased and my weight has seriously fluctuated ever since, due to my “fitness binging”
